How we teach

This class is a social, interactive, and open online space. All classes are taught live on Zoom, with the teacher and all students present and engaging with each other.

The Winter Intensive is the place to learn what drives you creatively. Here you will learn how to build a series of works in a style all your own and (re)start your own practice. Ailisha has 14 years of experience as an Art and Visual Storytelling teacher. She is always there to coach & guide you, offering techniques, assignments and tips that help you create your own series of work. During class, students are encouraged to discuss their work and share their progress with each other via the class Whatsapp group and during group discussions. If a student gets stuck or has questions they can take a picture of their work with their phone and share it in the app. This course is known for its open, supportive and interactive vibe.

Outside of class, the WhatsApp group is also often used to share inspiration, work in progress, and/or simply to stay in touch. All classes are social, open, informal, and supportive. Our classes are a creative space where everyone can feel comfortable.

The Winter Intensive Exhibition - Rotterdam April ‘23

The goal is to go from someone that enjoys making things, but isn’t sure what to make next, to someone that consumes visuals, digests them, and is able to use this visual knowledge to create a series of new work in a style all their own
